Shobha - Finance Manager
I have worked 20 years at Rainbow, and the journey has been Adventurous. I have accomplished many targets and deadlines during my time. There is never a dull moment at Rainbow! Finance is in my Blood as my Father & Brother were both Accountants. I graduated with a Business & Finance Degree, and initially worked at Fashion retail Goods Companies in Finance. I also harvested my deep interest in clothing Fashion and home décor products.
Favourite moments were getting rewarded for my diligent work at Rainbow Awards Ceremony. Most amazing time was going on Team-building weekends … especially Monte Carlo & Nice!

Edward - Team Manager
“Do the best you can. Do what you can, with what you have, where you are”
I cover the Birmingham and North West Region. I joined the company in May 2024, having worked in fostering for over 12 years. Throughout my career as a social worker, I have loved working with children in foster care and trying to help achieve positive outcomes. Fostering is a strong passion of mine and I believe the more support you can provide to a foster carer, the more support you can provide to a child. I have worked as a supervising social worker and a manager in previous roles and have also delivered training to foster carers and social workers through my time at FosterTalk. I look forward to playing my part in continuing the great work that Rainbow Fostering does for children and foster carers!

Jacqui - Recruitment Team Manager
“Nothing is impossible, the word itself says I’m possible” – Audrey Hepburn
I am the Recruitment Team Manager and case manager for the London and Hampshire regions. I take pleasure in guiding potential applicants from their initial contact to panel assessment and approval. It brings me joy to establish personal connections with each applicant and witness their journey towards becoming excellent foster parents! Fostering plays a crucial role in our society, and I am honoured to collaborate with an exceptional team to shape brighter futures for young individuals.

Uchenna - Team Manager
I am of Nigerian/British heritage. Apart from a two years period in my life I grew up in Nigeria up to the age of 16yrs old. Between the ages of 4-6 my younger brother and I were fostered in Birmingham before returning to Nigeria. I speak three different languages
I worked for companies likes N Power and Audi, before going to gain an MA (hons) in Applied Social work at Durham University in 2005. I then spent the next 19yrs working in all areas of local authority children’s services including roles within Child Protection, Family Support Teams, Child Looked after Teams, and Child and Family Charity Organisations.
I joined Rainbow Fostering Services in 2021 during the Covid lockdown period as a Supervising Social worker and became the Team Manager for the South of England in April 2024.
I have always enjoyed the work I do with children, young people, and their families and have extended this passion to include working closely with Okere City Project which is an educational project in Uganda which promotes child and adult education and how community can be self-sufficient which is seen to increase school attendance amongst its youth.
Being a social worker is the best thing I have ever done and although there have bene very hard times in this job, the benefits and joys have always outweighed the challenges. I really enjoy supporting carers as I know it is difficult to do it on your own and that the role is impossible without a network of support.

Aly - Placement Officer
As a placement officer for Rainbow Fostering, I find immense satisfaction in my role. Matching children with suitable placements is not just a job for me; it's a deeply fulfilling experience. Witnessing the positive impact these placements have on the lives of children is truly rewarding. Seeing them thrive in their new environments brings me immense joy and fulfilment.
Working at Rainbow feels like being part of a supportive family. The company's culture fosters a sense of belonging and camaraderie among its employees. This supportive environment enables me to excel in my role and contributes to my overall job satisfaction.
I love my job as a placement officer at Rainbow Fostering because it allows me to make a difference in children's lives, witness their growth and happiness, and be part of a supportive and nurturing work environment.

Favourite Quote: “Enjoy the space between where you are and where you are going”
Born and raised in Latvia, I ventured to London four years ago to explore new culture and opportunities. My academic journey led me to complete my Law studies back in Latvia before seizing the opportunity to intern at the Latvian Embassy in London. An avid nature and animal lover, I spend my free time volunteering at dog and cat home in Battersea, London. Additionally, I enjoy immersing myself in books and traveling to explore new cultures and cuisines.
"Everything happens for a reason," I always say. This belief led me to my role at Rainbow Fostering Agency—a place dedicated to helping and supporting children in need, which I truly enjoy.

I am a keen traveller and have spent 4 years living abroad, immersing myself in different cultures and adventures. In my free time, you'll often find me out and about exploring, staying active at the gym or trying out new baking recipes – life is about balance after all!
