A Half Term to remember!

February, the month of love heart shaped chocolates and flowers; but we weren’t bothered about all of that! The only hearts we collected in the North West, were extra lives to get our video game characters through to the next round!

The Rainbow Arcade

Over 34 Children and Carers took their place in our North West office for an exhilarating day of video games, laughter, music, dancing AND pizza!

That’s right... Our young people went to the Rainbow Arcade!

Over 34 Children and Carers took their place in our North West office for an exhilarating day of video games, laughter, music, dancing AND pizza! This event was nothing short of exceptional and the feedback from our carers and young people described nothing short of the euphoria each guest experienced.

“Well done! It is evident quite a lot of planning went in. The kids loved it and I'm sure would love to come back again. The room and arrangements worked out well, as well. Proud of you!” said one carer and “The children have enjoyed it. They have also had a good gathering. My Child told me that she made a new friend and asked if she can come everyday!” said another.

With each young person fully emersed, this was surely an event which our North West community will continue to remember for a very long time.

Inclusivity is also paramount here at Rainbow and so, during the planning stages, I wanted to ensure that this event was 100% accessible and SEN friendly too.

We offered a wonderful sensory den with soft furnishings, beanbags, toys, books and a ball pit! There was also an option for our young people to engage in origami and other creative activities too! There was fun to be had, for EVERYONE!

Across the country events of equal caliber ignited a frenzy of fun filled adventure! Milton Keynes wrapped up warm with a day of snow fuelled activities, whilst videogame fever spread through to Birmingham who also hosted a video game truck! It’s safe to say that February half term raised the bar.

Cupids bow fired smiles and laughter nationwide. This wasn’t just a high standard, This was Rainbow standard!
